Welcome to the new mIRC help site. It has been updated to reflect the changes in the new mIRC 6.32 is the most recent but I haven't done new screen shots yet. For the most part things are pretty much the same. I decided to make this site after having explained all of these things to many students at Virtual University (and not finding any place where help was available for the consummate dummy like me).  I hope you find the site of help in getting started using mIRC.  This site is in no way intended to be the end all of mIRC help sites, but rather a spring board to get you started.  There are many more much more extensive sites on every aspect of mIRC, which has many facets.

I hope that the information you find here will be helpful to you. These instructions are created with the absolute IRC Newbie in mind, you know the ones that just barley can spell IRC : ).  First you must download and install mIRC, the instructions for that are at their web site  Just click on the first thing in the Menu below "Section 1 Servers and Channels" and go from there.  Then come back here and start with "Section 2 Logging" at the top of the list and work your way down.

If you are a Virtual University Student click here for the Virtual University Custom VI version of mIRC.  Or you just don't want to do Sections 1-5 below.

If you would like a copy of this site on your hard drive for study off-line click here {1.4mb} for a self extracting file with all the information/images/videos etc. on this site.

All videos on this site require Windows Media Player {2.4mg)
